Rush Festival of Writing needed a distinctive brand identity that could capture both the literary focus and the coastal setting of this new festival. I explored over 100 concept sketches before landing on the book-wave fusion—a visual metaphor where an open book transforms into ocean waves. The bold printmaking aesthetic ensures strong poster presence while working effectively across print, digital, and merchandise applications for the pilot event and future years.

From the very first call we had, Chris helped us hone our vague ideas into something cohesive and creative, never losing sight of the original idea but making it better and more impactful than we could ever have envisaged.

At every stage, he provided us with a range of stylistic options to narrow down exactly what we were looking for, offered sage advice on what would and wouldn’t work, and his meticulous attention to detail was apparent at every stage of the process.

He also worked to a very tight deadline and was responsive and reliable throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris as a designer.
